Greetings to all my Tarot Friends,
While compiling Instalment 3 of The Wands’ Encyclopedia of Love & Sex, I have been re-working some of the original content. As a result, the Card Imagery for The Five of Wands has been updated and I thought it wise to let you know. I will be making further adjustments along the way as I write up these books, and will notify you by post. You can check today’s changes at The Five of Wands
Card Imagery Description
It was all well and good finding stability in Card Four, settling into a new life, new job, new home, lazing around on holidays, parties and happy-clappy get-togethers, but where the Wands are concerned, it was bound to wear thin after a while. Going with the flow and happily doing what everyone else is doing is not their style at all. As the energy of Number Four is wearing off, the Wands people may get a little restless and complain that nothing seems to happen anymore or that they lack excitement in life. In the Five it is clear they badly need action once more.
The approaching energy of Number Five lights a fire in their belly. They are no longer content to just sit around and be part of the scenery. Instead, Five influencing Fire, hurtles them into seeking change, even if they aren’t consciously aware of it at the time. Any change, whether positive or negative, will be viewed as a welcome relief, or challenge not to be missed. Regardless of all the effort this change, upheaval or disturbance will cause, it gives the Wands their raison d’être. They are at their very best when life calls upon them to be daring, brave, gutsy, unflinching, determined and highly competitive. They positively thrive in a sea of change and uncertainty. Indeed, the Wands will view any form of upset, change or upheaval as competition and personal challenge; lusting after battles to feed their fearless, assertive and ultimately superior nature. Time to sink their teeth into life again.
With the Five influencing the Element of Fire, battles can range from minor skirmishes to all-out war on the flick of a coin or the roll of a dice. A lot of energy has built up and needs to be released. They are up for the game and challenge of any change that is heading their way. The Wands see this period as a very defining time in their lives. This is a test of their own personal strength and they will keep up the play until the final whistle is blown. When the dust settles, whoever is left standing will be crowned champion and win the ultimate prize. So, let’s get the adrenaline pumping.
A group of five young figures brandish Wands or sticks in their hands. It is unclear as to whether they use them as weapons for battle or sport. The scene presented to us is one of chaos, either organised or disorganised depending on the aim of the individuals involved. The figures appear to be fully engaged in this rowdy activity. At first glance, it looks a bit dangerous, as if a situation has gotten out of control. However, when we examine the individual faces, we find neither anger nor malice, but rather passion and determination. Indeed, they appear to be heartily enjoying themselves. There is an impression of noise and boisterousness as the Wands make contact and clash off each other. No one is directly hit with the sticks even though it might first appear that way. Unlike the Five of Swords, we see no injuries, no blood, no bodies scattered on the ground. These skirmishes symbolically represent the battles of daily life – our inherited human condition. Life is constantly throwing curve balls, or sticks (Wands) at us. We either run for cover, or come out fighting. The five figures have decided to stand and fight.
So, we have determined they are not engaged in mortal combat, but what else might they be up to? If we closely observe their faces, they do not appear to make eye contact with each other. Perhaps their Wands clash because they are not looking where they are going, or are too caught up with their own agendas to notice or care about others. They move around like busy bees. There is also a sense of urgency and haste in their mad running around. Could this be a challenge that must be completed in a set time? Do the five figures work independently or are they part of a team? With the Wands flying in all directions, we wonder if there is a common cause at all.
There is also a distinct absence of leadership. This could be a competition or race of some sort, with every man for himself, out for what he can get or achieve. They may all be seeking the same outcome, but it might be in limited supply. The first man over the finish line will secure it, so there’s no time to dawdle. No one is project managing the frenzied activity, so anything might happen with such fiery energy flying in all directions…….READ MORE

After a fairly stressful week of computer issues and losing three full days of work by mistakenly saving over the wrong document, I am both happy and relieved to finally release Instalment 2 of The Wands’ Encyclopedia of Love & Sex. This Instalment brings you the Three and Four of Wands both Upright and Reversed. Instalment 2 is now available for purchase at the introductory offer price of only €3.99. You will notice I have a few inconsistencies with the English and American English spelling of Instalment/Installment throughout. I will sort this out over the next couple of days.
**Please Note, all interpretations are based on Rider-Waite Imagery
Further information is available on the Publications Page. Instalment 1 is also available to purchase on this page.
Here is an Extract from Instalment 2 which provides a tiny sample of interpretations to choose from.
The Three of Wands
Where to Find Love
If you are simply having no luck finding the love of your life, you may need to be more expansive in your search. Socialising in the same circles and venues is not delivering the results you desire. You may have to look further afield but this could involve deliberate effort on your part. This card can suggest that love will be found, not in your normal stamping ground, but outside your current environment. You may have to move out of your comfort zone, mix in different social circles, join groups/clubs, or travel. You must go out to meet love and not expect it to come searching for you. The Three of Wands is all about being proactive. Get moving.
A Relationship With Good Prospects
In a relationship spread the Three of Wands is a positive card as it suggests growth and development. Things are certainly beginning to heat up. A fledgling relationship may be developing into something more. A mutual understanding between partners has come about. You can realistically set expectations about the continuity of a relationship. Any doubts or concerns about feelings or commitment to each other have passed. You can now start planning as a couple as you see a positive future for the relationship. It is okay to talk about ‘us’ without worry of misreading signals or getting ahead of yourself. It is likely as a couple you have decided you both want the same things. You are singing from the same hymn sheet and stand united as a couple.
Moving To The Next Level
In The Three of Wands, we find a couple who have either moved past the indecision and uncertainty of The Two, or bypassed it altogether if they experienced love at first sight in the Ace. Partners feel very sure of each other and are secure in making plans for their future together. The Three of Wands can mark the moment you realise you want to include the person you have met in your full life, and not just on occasions when you meet for dates. Your relationship has grown nicely out of the Ace. You feel blessed with luck. Now we find partners being invited or welcomed into each other’s family as introductions are made. You encourage your friends to get to know your partner, instead of keeping them at arm’s length. You wouldn’t do this unless you believed your partner to be sticking around, a keeper. You want to share your world with your partner and vice versa.
You could be planning your first vacation away, or spending longer periods of time together. You are getting a better feel for each other, discovering more and more about your personalities. What you discover is better than expected. You could be seeing your partner in a whole new light as their world opens before you. You have a very good feeling about the future.
Focusing On Career, Not Relationships
Because of The Wands connection and association with career, enterprise and ambition, we must look at how this might influence their approach or attitude to love and relationships. In the Three, we might be looking at an individual who has their sights set, not on love, but their career instead. They may not see the two being compatible in this instance. This card could be………Continue Reading Wands’ Encyclopedia of Love & Sex Instalment 2 Extract
Just a quick note to let you know that The Wands’ Encyclopedia of Love & Sex, Installment II will be released within the next week. This installment will cover both The Three and Four of Wands and will continue themes of interpretation from The Ace and Two. I am working hard on finishing the final draft.
A big thank you to all who had faith in me and purchased the first Installment. I do hope you are benefiting from the variety of interpretation supplied, and broadening your approach when interpreting Wand Cards in Love and Relationship Readings.
**I will be posting extracts from Installment II, so all may get to sample what is on offer.
For those of you who are waiting for replies to emails and comments sent in the last few weeks, I offer my apologies, and also a valid excuse. I have my head down in writing at present as it does take a lot of concentration. I am working my way through correspondence and promise to get to you all over the next week.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Until then it is back to writing. However, it is logging-off time here in Ireland on a Sunday evening. Have glass of wine in hand and dinner simmering downstairs! So much to share with you all but just one of me to do it! Always overestimate what I can achieve in a day.
Hi to all my Tarot Friends around the World,
Installment 1 of Wands’ Encyclopedia of Love & Sex now available to purchase by PDF Download. Introduction + first 2 cards. Over 100 pages of content
Following the most frustrating week I have ever put in, I am finally ready, I think, to release the First Installment of The Wands’ Encyclopedia of Love and Sex. This is the first installment in a series of publications that will be released over the coming weeks and months. The First Installment covers a detailed introduction along with in-depth analysis and interpretation of both The Ace and Two of Wands. With over 100 pages of information to muse over, there should be something for everyone to relate to.
Installment 2 will be released in two weeks’ time and will include Card 3 and 4. I have up to card 7 completed but due to the volume of content, I have decided to stagger the releases.
Formatting the PDF nearly broke my heart and took almost a week to sort out. This is my first time to release a publication and really it has been a baptism of fire (pardon the pun). I am still not sure if it is in proper working order!!!!
Enough of all this. Click on the links below to go straight to the Publications Page to read all about it and how to purchase it.
I do hope you enjoy the tome of tarot reference I have created. I look forward to getting back to my writing instead of all the crazy stuff I have had to attend to this week.

The Tarot Encyclopedias of Love
The Tarot Encyclopedias of Love are a series of Five Books in the making. These Tomes of Tarot, will specifically focus on Love, Romance, Relationships and Sex when seeking interpretation and analysis in readings and spreads. Each Suit is covered in detail and approached as an Elemental Journey from Ace to 10, plus their accompanying Court Cards. By aligning with the Element of a Suit and its numerical associations, its journey in love, or the search for love, is tailored to the archetypal traits and behaviour of its Element. Therefore, Fire (Wands) will have a very different experience to Water (Cups), Air (Swords), and Earth (Pentacles) where matters of the heart are concerned. Each Suit (Element) will have its own unique approach to love based on its governing Elemental Energy.
The Major Arcana will have its own dedicated book, which again will be dictated by the Elemental, astrological, and numerical associations of each card in the confines of love and relationships.
When exploring each Element for the purpose of love, romance, relationships, and sex, all aspects and levels must be taken into account. We must take the good with the bad, for the course of true love never runs smoothly. Sometimes it runs deep and intense, sometimes it is overpowering and smothering, and sometimes it is dark and turbulent. Sometimes loves works out, and sometimes it doesn’t. We must ride the highs with the lows in an attempt to flush out the potential stored within each card and its imagery.
When conducting relationship readings, we need to interpret on all levels, and not just look for the obvious. Love is a complex thing. It can walk a fine line with hate. We seek pretty cards in love readings, but life does not always reflect this. Even the most wonderful love stories have their ups and downs. How do we define love, when there are so many versions of it to choose from? My idea of love might be very different to yours and so on. The Encyclopedias of Love aim to cater……………..Read More
Extract Taken From The Wands’ Book of Love –
The Five of Wands
Below is another extract from The Wands’ Book of Love – Five of Wands I am currently working on. This is my project for 2017. There will be Five Tarot Books of Love in total which will be available to purchase as PDF Downloads for personal study and exploration.
My aim in creating these Tarot Books of Love is to explore in detail, as many potential interpretations both Upright and Reversed, that may pertain to love, romance, relationships and sex. This compilation is a a combination of multiple approaches which digs deep into the imagery and associated meanings of each card. Although there is a huge amount of ground covered in my search for understanding in each card, this list is not exhaustive. There are many more avenues to investigate. The interpretations I have provided may spark more for the individual reader. The idea is to work with the Element, the Number and Traditional Interpretations, but to let your Creative Imagination take you further. Each card holds multiple archetypal scenarios, enough to create any novel, movie or box-set. Once you start to delve deeper and deeper, the more is discovered. In writing these individual books I have to step into the energy of the appropriate Element and work with it from one card to another. In this manner, a story unfolds as per the energy and theme of the Element. I am telling the Wands’s Story of Love through the energy of Fire. In understanding more and more about the Element of Fire in this manner, I have acquired an intuitive feel for it. I am happy to share this extract with all my followers.
Writing about The Five of Wands has been challenging, as there is so much to say. I discovered there was more to be said about it in Reverse than Upright, which exposes the dilemma of Five. Upright it can be unsettling. When Reversed it’s like using a fork to pick up mercury. One moment you have it, and the next its gone again. It is a scattered energy when Upright, and unless it has settled in Reverse, it can become even more scattered.
I do hope you find the following of interest, and that it helps expand your understanding of the nature of Fire in Relationship Readings. I look forward to working on the Six of Wands. Although The Six of Wands is a dynamic card, it will be light relief in comparison to the Five.

Five of Wands – When the Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going?
Pictorial Key To The Tarot (Arthur Edward Waite) Divinatory Meanings: Imitation, as, for example, sham fight, but also the strenuous competition and struggle of the search after riches and fortune. In this sense, it connects with the battle of life. Hence some attributions say that it is a card of gold, gain, opulence. Reversed: Litigation, disputes, trickery, contradiction.
5 – Disturbance and unease in a relationship. Unexpected events and issues. Fighting against Change.
Five – Blowing things out of proportion, Change, Fighting for/against Change, Disruption, Conflict, Feeling Conflicted, Competition for the one you love. Competitive Relationship, External Interference, Relationship going through a rough time. Incompatibility, Lack of Compromise, Fire-Fighting, External/Internal Demands, No Time for love/romance/your partner. Bickering, fighting, arguments and clashes of personality. Egos. Difficult babies/children. Large families.
Yes or No Card? – Yes, to good healthy competition. Yes to sticking with it. Yes, to rising to challenge. No to petty arguments and rivalry. No to aggression. No, find order first. Too chaotic.
We have now reached the mid-point of the Wand’s journey through Love with Fire. Except for a mild bit of uncertainty, or hesitation in the Two, the Wands have had a clear run of it when Upright. Fire likes to travel and expand. It does not like to be held back or restricted. It is a positive forward flowing energy, that thrives on momentum and enthusiasm. From the Ace to Four, it has pretty much run unrestricted and bathed in the glow of everything working out. It has had its way most of the time. The sun has shone down on the Upright Wands, making them feel blessed and joyful. There was much to celebrate, with no issues to bother about.
The Five changes matters, and for the first time, Fire’s path is blocked or challenged. Fire will aim to go over, under and around any obstacles, if going through them seems tedious or unsettling. The jubilant and triumphant Fire is disturbed, and it is unsure how it will react. Fire in a healthy state will choose to work through the challenge or obstacle, before continuing on its path, as it is not a quitter. It may take time to work it out, but it is the best way. Avoiding the challenge or obstacle may seem like a quick fix, but this challenge will be encountered again and again until it is acted on. Transitioning through Five for Wands is extremely significant. How they handle the issues thrown up by Five could determine how successful their relationship is in the long run. It is a very defining time for them. This is the first real dilemma they have come up against in their relationship. Although it may be causing a bit of drama, it is not dreadfully serious. If they cannot successful work through issues at this level, how will they cope with even greater ones in the future.
Wands, driven by Fire are positive and optimistic when Upright. They should be well equipped to tackle Five and determinedly see it through. Relationships experience their first bump in the road and may feel rattled. Their foundations will be tested for signs of any weakness or fault lines. If a relationship has been built out of the Reversed Ace, Reversed, Two, Reversed, Three and Reversed Four, The Five has the potential to take it down. Incompatibility, superficial feelings, and loose commitment will be exposed by Five. This could mark the end of the journey for some relationships as they hit a defining rough patch. The Five will separate the wheat from the chaff in relationships. Only strong, positive, committed ones will be permitted to journey on in the Upright Aspect. Weak, negative or unhealthy relationships can continue, but they may fall from one Reversed Aspect to another. The challenge for relationships is to battle through the Five and emerge triumphantly the other side, or concede defeat and withdraw.
The Five of Wands can be a tricky card to read as it carries shifting energy. It really depends on the theme of surrounding cards and the querant’s issue. On one level, it is an assertive positive card, full of life and activity, but on another level, it is overpowering, aggressive and challenging, even when upright. Your reaction to this card may bring relief or panic as a situation blows wide open. One may not be sure if it would be best in Reverse as it does suggest a more balanced energy.
However, Reversed cards can bring in extremes of the upright energy. In this case, the Five of Wands is chaotic and challenging enough when upright. Why might we look for even more in the the Reverse? It is probably best to read both the Upright and Reversed interpretations when looking for extremes. In the Five of Wands a battle has already broken out, so we are in the midst of chaos. When it reverses, sides have either backed down or stepped up the attack. Whatever way you look at it, there is change and upheaval that cannot be escaped. Brushing issues under the carpet or attempting to look the other way will not work as the issue is already upon you. You cannot escape into the upright and make it all go away as something is up regardless of which direction the card is pointing. You might have to think on your feet as you try to work your way out. This is not a peaceful time. It will however be interesting, and it would be wise to sit up and take note of what is actually going on. Knowledge gained now will stand to you in the future as chaos does have a habit of taking us by surprise. When the going gets tough the tough get going.
The Five of Wands generally brings change in its wake. In its Upright Aspect, change is either embraced and viewed as an interesting challenge, or it is fought against and resisted. Your relationship may be changing and there is a lot of uncertainty about it. There has been a shift in energy which will bring couples closer together or drive them apart. Your relationship may have plateaued for some time, fallen into a way of being, just drifting along. Something has, or will happen, that could cause upheaval with the need for a fresh approach. One partner may have grown bored with the current trend and is taking steps to address it. This will leave the other partner on shaky ground as suddenly the relationship as they know it cannot be relied on. There could be a mad scramble to fix things in an attempt to bring it back to the way it was. This may not be the answer. Your relationship is in need of a reshuffle. Time to pull all those wands out and check for signs of dry rot or lack of growth. Some of them may be quite lifeless and in need of attention, sunshine, heat, and hydration. Some may need to be replaced. Reconstruct them in a manner which will facilitate revival and encourage new growth. Change is upon you. Try and be open to healthy change.
Goal Posts Keep Shifting
Here we find a relationship that cannot settle. It might suggest a romance that blows hot and cold, is on one day, and off the next. Couple’s cannot decide what to do with it. There could be temporary break-ups where partners are free to date others. Invariably they get back together again. Friends and family find it hard to keep up with the relationship status as it swings between current and ancient………..Read More…. Extract from The Wands’ Book of Love – Five of Wands
Have a read of this amazing piece of work and how the tarot cards have been woven into Prince’s Planetary associations. As always Nicoleh, your work is outstanding.
Anyone who knows me knows what a massive Prince fan I am. I’ve been meaning to write something about his chart but felt too overwhelmed shortly after his passing. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since he left us. This post was inspired by a series of dreams I had about him. I intuitively pulled a few tarot cards as well…
Prince Rogers Nelson: Gemini Sun/Pisces Moon/Scorpio Rising
I – 8 of Pentacles Reversed
The very first card (8 of Pentacles) is usually a warning about unethical business associates and shady deals in general, but mainly about over-extending one’s self. In the reverse position this card is associated with workaholic tendencies and neglecting one’s health. Saturn’s Rx phase during the time of his death could have been warning him to slow down. There have been numerous conspiracy theories surrounding Prince’s death and with Neptune tightly…

May I wish you a very peaceful, healthy and happy 2017!
After taking a break from writing in November, I am now back in the saddle and have been busy creating some special new content. Part of my reason for taking a break was to step back for a while and reflect on the direction Truly Teach Me Tarot has headed since its humble launch in 2012, along with the viability in continuing full-time commitment to such a large project. With me being the sole author, creator, web developer and site administrator, running and maintaining teachmetarot.com has become a full-time job, a job that unfortunately does not pay! I have given much thought to how I can continue this level of commitment along with keeping a roof over my head. With about 9,000 views a day from over 200 countries my aim is to keep this site ‘Free for All’. I really hope I can continue to do so. Other than recently signing up to WordAds, the only income generated from this site is via Donations. To date I have received a total of 5 Donations for which I am extremely grateful. My site is hosted by Free Hosting WordPress, and has limited commercial potential. For such heavy daily traffic, my site would need a Dedicated Server to avoid crashing and slow page loading. Unfortunately, the cost of such a service is quite out of reach.
So, as we enter the new year, I have decided to take a bold step forward for 2017 by releasing some new ‘Extra Special Content’ for those tarot students and enthusiasts who want to enhance and expand on their interpretation repertoire.
From February, I will be introducing some content changes and monitoring its progress. Some content may be removed or altered. Other than that, Truly Teach Me Tarot will continue to run as normal, allowing free access to any content published on site. I will continue to write and add new ‘free content’ throughout the year. There will also be an option to purchase PDF Downloads of Site content for a small fee. Notice of available Downloads will be posted as soon as they have been formatted for download release.
**Further Information To Follow**
New, ‘Extra Special, Download Only Content’ will be created as stand alone modules, and will not be included as on site content. Instead these New Modules will be available to Purchase as PDF Downloads for personal viewing and study.
For interested Tarot Tutors, I am considering offering a ‘Licence To Teach’ on most of these Modules. Terms and conditions will apply along with a Licence Fee. Further information will be released in the near future.
**Please Email Me at email@example.com To Register Your Interest, or Use the Comments Box Below**
The first Download Only content will be released in February with:
The Wands’ Book of Love
The Wands’ Book of Love, is Module 1 of a Series of 5. Each Module in this Series takes an in-depth look at each card, both Upright and Reversed, in a particular Suit, as well as Major Arcana, for Relationship Analysis and Interpretation. Modules also cover analysis of Governing Elements, and the Personalities involved in Relationships under each Suit. Cards are intensely explored and analysed to yield as many options as possible based on their driving element. The aim of these ‘Books of Love’ Modules, is to encourage Tarot Students to Flex their mind, look beyond the obvious, and explore different perspectives. It also facilitates greater connection with the imagery of each card and the array of sublime messages or stories they convey. The content created is a fusion of traditional, non-traditional and personal connections. In writing these Modules, I have attempted to cover as many approaches as possible. There should be something for everyone.
To get a taste for what these Modules will have to offer, I have inserted an excerpt from The Wands’ Book of Love. The card being explored is The Two of Wands both Upright and Reversed. Each Module contains a large volume of content and will have three download options. With full colour images, with black and white images and without images. This is to ease reduction on ink if printing Module Content.

Two of Wands – Don’t Know What I Want Anymore
2 – Decisions about relationships. Being at a crossroads. Weighing up Pros and Cons. Being in two minds.
Two of Wands – Weighing up the pros and cons of a relationship. Finding balance or not. Decision time. Relationship Crossroads. Choosing between two partners. Not really sure about the relationship. Something is wrong as you do not feel fulfilled. You are not content and have doubts about staying or going. Nothing obviously wrong but the fire may have diminished. Withdrawal, disconnected. Focus elsewhere. Grass is greener on other side. You want more out of a relationship. Feeling trapped or restricted. A decision about the taking the next step in a relationship. Wanting to rush into a relationship but circumstances or doubts may hold you back. Hankering after a love from far away. Big decisions about relocating for a couple. Action has to be taken soon. The Sudden departure of a partner or lover. A couple with differing needs. Internet dating.
You certainly have invested a lot in this relationship and need to know if your partner feels the same. You feel that the relationship has reached an impasse, or fallen into a comfort zone, when really, further progress should be made. You have created a certain life together and believe it should now move on to something more. You seek commitment and security of relationship. You are prepared to make a go of it but you might sense your partner needs more convincing. It might be time to sit down with your partner to discuss long-term goals for the relationship and the best way forward.
The Crossroads – Decision Making Time
In the Two of Wands, we arrive at the sobering up stage in a relationship as it reaches a crossroads. A decision has to be made and action taken. You may feel under pressure from others. The initial high energy of the Ace of Wands has worn off, the excitement eventually calmed. It is time to take stock of the relationship to see where both parties stand. In the Ace of Wands, we explored the crazy in love stage. That has now passed. In the Two, the couple must decide if they want to explore the relationship further. We now see the two sides involved and can get an idea of how they might differ. One Wand is bolted to the wall which could suggest the desire for commitment, to be bound to another. He or she might want something more stable and secure. The other Wand, although held in the hand of the figure in this card, is free to move. The figure holding the Wand stands with his back to the Wand bolted to the wall. He stares out to sea and across to foreign lands. The globe in his hand represents his world and he must decide what it means to him before a decision can be made. Read the rest of this entry
This post is prompted by historical events that happened in England, culminating on the 22nd of August 1485. I weaved in a few Tarot cards to enhance the telling of The Battle of Bosworth which marked the end of The War of The Roses, the fall of the House of York and the rise of The House of Lancaster. The death of King Richard III, the last of the Plantagenet Kings, on the battlefield of Bosworth began the reign of the Tudor Dynasty with Henry VII. With tension, intrigue, cliff hanging moments and and array of complex characters, the story of this incredibly important transitional time in English history reads like the plot of a great novel or script of a thrilling movie. It is full of superb tarot archetypes and archetypal situations. Look around you in the world today and you will see they are still here, especially in the halls of power and politics. Nothing really changes.
I have written a potted history of the story below with all key characters and events, and have mused over how certain cards might symbolically represent this powerful story. Really, the whole deck could have been used so I had to exert some discipline and self restraint. Read the rest of this entry
Trying to shake my own health demons out at the moment and thought of a song. I love associating songs and singers with the archetypal stories and characters in tarot.
I rather fancied using the wonderful and brilliantly British themed, Steampunk Tarot by Barbara Moore and Aly Fell as fitting illustrations for my idol (Florence Welch) Florence and The Machine’s Song, Shake it Out! . Florence says she actually wrote this song about a hangover, but I am going to reinterpret it as a dark love story in this instance.
So with my interpretation, Florence starts out so determined to shake the devil of a romance off her back. She is ready to cut her heart out, bury that mournful horse in the ground, and be done with the past. Alas, she does not hold out for very long. Deciding she is damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t, she surrenders to her fate and runs eagerly towards possible further pain, and dare I say, even further regret. Great initial intentions followed by throwing caution to the wind. As the saying goes ‘in for a penny, in for a pound’. Well what can she do when the Devil turns up looking so handsome, and in turn brings the Devil out in her too??!!! We shall have to drink to that, and here’s to the inevitable hangover! Cheers x
You may have your own interpretation so just use your imagination! The Steampunk Tarot Deck is superb and well worth adding to your collection. I just adore the imagery. What an achievement Barbara Moore and Aly Fell. I think an excellent intuitive deck for both beginner and experienced readers alike.
And all of the ghouls come out to play
And every demon wants his pound of flesh
But I like to keep some things to myself
I like to keep my issues drawn

Now there may be many Readers out there who regularly practice what I am about to describe but this only began to register with me in recent weeks. What I am talking about here pertains to the Reversed Cards which remain sitting in the deck after the drawing or selection process has been completed. What is their purpose or use if at all? Why were they Reversed in the first place? What can we deduce from them? Should we just totally ignore them, or treat them like the remaining Upright Cards, as in, just not part of that Reading? Of course this only applies if you are using Reversed Cards in your Readings. Read the rest of this entry
